Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals Charity: Providing consultancy and insight - Really Good Things

Creating a new healthcare charity to care for future generations.

How we worked with Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals’ Charity

We were commissioned by Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to guide the Trust through the process of creating a new charity for their hospitals and community services.

Over the course of 12 months, we worked with the Trust’s Charitable Funds Committee to provide guidance and support across all areas of:

  • Charity structure and governance

  • Fundraising appeal

  • Internal grant making policy

  • Brand and communications

  • Internal communications and staff engagement

  • Public launch

Really Good Things were appointed following their work with a number of local NHS charities where we were able to seek recommendation for their work as charity specialists. I was delighted by the excellent progress we made in a short time which was in no small part due to their diligence and expertise.
